NFL power rankings after the AFC and NFC conference championships and a week before Super Bowl LVII:
1. Eagles: Are they this dominant or has their competition been lacking? We’ll find out Sunday, but we believe they’re for real.
2. Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes did what he needed to do to beat the Bengals, but Kansas City might need a lot more to get past Philadelphia.
ELIMINATED
3. Bengals: Mistakes outranked injuries as determining factors in the title game. Burrow and Company will be back.
4. 49ers: Last year they ended up in this same spot with a supposed lame duck quarterback, who returned as a backup. This year, injuries forced them to use their fifth-string QB, which was a running back they traded for mid-season. Who knows what to expect for next year, but if they figure out that position, the 49ers should take the next step.
