We’re here a day late, but we took most of Memorial Day weekend off. With the Vegas Golden Knights and Washington Capitals tied 3-3 in the third period of Game 1, we were hoping for 3 OTs so we could get this posted before the end of the game. It wasn’t meant to be, but speaking of ties… look at the results of the 50 expert predictions we found. It’s 50-50. Well, 25-25 to be exact. And when you have two teams vying for their first Stanley Cup in franchise history (after one year and 44 years, respectively) what more could you ask for?
Scoreboard Page: An expansion team winning it all? What are the odds? 500 to 1 this year, actually. I’ve seen “best expansion team in 40 years” thrown around, but it’s really 20. The Chicago Fire did it in 1998, not only winning the MLS Cup, but the U.S. Open Cup as well. Yes, professional soccer counts. That takes nothing away from what Vegas is about to to do. Hope somebody bought the movie rights, because it turns out Major League 4 is a hockey film. Vegas in 7.
